CBS Chief Executive Les Moonves thinks Donald Trump is great for his network but not necessarily the country.
“It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS,” he said of the presidential race according to an article by Hollywood Reporter.
Trump and his competitors are bringing big money to his network and he hopes it keeps on coming.
“I’ve never seen anything like this, and this going to be a very good year for us. Sorry. It’s a terrible thing to say. But, bring it on, Donald. Keep going,” said Moonves.
Ratings for Republican debates on CBS, CNN and Fox News have hit records for any political campaign. Trump’s controversial and outrageous statements have kept him in the forefront of the national conversation.
Trump won seven states in the Super Tuesday primaries including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia. Senator Ted Cruz won in Alaska, Texas and Oklahoma while Senator Marco Rubio won the state of Minnesota.
