NEW YORK – Arcimoto, makers of pure electric vehicles for everyday commuters and fleets, is debuting its all-new ultra-affordable Arcimoto SRK at the New York International Auto Show held March 25 – April 3 in booth #1400 on Level One of the Javits Center in New York City.
“We are thrilled to showcase the SRK at the nation’s largest auto show, formally marking another milestone in our steady march toward full production later in 2016,” said Mark Frohnmayer, CEO and founder of Arcimoto. “For the first time on the east coast, consumers will be able to see for themselves that a high-quality sustainable electric vehicle is now within reach of virtually everyone, and reserve their vehicle with a $100 refundable deposit.”
With a reverse trike, three-wheeled design powered by dual-front motors, an estimated curb weight of 1,023 pounds and a starting price of $11,900, the Arcimoto SRK is the lightest, most affordable and most enjoyable electric vehicle on the market. Measuring 106 inches in length and 62 inches wide, the SRK offers front/back seating for two plus ample room for gear and the open-air space frame design features an included windscreen and see-thru roof to dramatically enhance the feeling of environmental connectedness. An optional side cover and the one-of-a-kind Eagle Wing Door is also available.
“We founded Arcimoto, which means ‘Future I Drive,’ nine years ago with the mission to build products that catalyze the shift to a sustainable transportation system and to do so at a price point that brings this new reality within reach of virtually everyone. Today that reality is here,” said Frohmnmayer.
Featuring an optimized center of gravity and highly stable geometry, the SRK provides a thrilling and uncharacteristically quiet drive with the reliability and peace-of-mind of being able to maneuver well in any situation. Recharged via standard 110-220V outlets, the SRK Base Model is available with a 12 kWh Li-Ion system offering a 70-mile range, or an optional extended range 20 kWh battery system with 130 miles of range. Both power plants deliver performance of 0-60 MPH in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 85 MPH.
Production of the all-new Arcimoto SRK is currently expected to begin in Q4 2016. Pre-Orders are fully refundable.
