NEW YORK – NBCUniversal announced that, for the first time, the company will hold one advertising Upfront presentation on May 16, 2016 at Radio City Music Hall featuring its entire portfolio of broadcast and cable networks: Bravo, CNBC, E!, Esquire Network, Golf Channel, MSNBC, NBC Entertainment, NBC News, NBC Sports Network, NBC Universo, Oxygen, Sprout, Syfy, Telemundo, USA.
This move marks a shift in tradition for the company. In prior years, NBCUniversal held three Upfront presentations – one each for NBC Broadcast Entertainment, Telemundo and its Cable Entertainment portfolio.
The Upfront is where networks showcase their upcoming shows in the fall to advertisers.
“As a media company, we have an unparalleled array of networks and digital platforms that reach the most audiences across all dayparts. Our event will reflect the way we go to market as a unified portfolio which makes it easier for our clients to do business with us all together,” said Linda Yaccarino, Chairman, Advertising Sales and Client Partnerships, NBCUniversal. “There isn’t going to be an Upfront event as big and bold as this one. Through our content, we have an unrivaled ability to create an emotional connection like no one else. There’s only one place to go for scale and meaningful consumer engagement.”
The Upfront event will be hosted by Steve Burke, NBCUniversal’s CEO and Yaccarino. Taking place on one of the world’s greatest stages, it will display the company’s incredible collection of talent and programming to tell the stories that create unmissable moments and experiences.
NBCUniversal’s portfolio reaches more than 93% of U.S. viewers every month and represents approximately 20% of the total TV audience.
