NEW YORK — Morningside Translations, a leading provider of professional translation services to Fortune 500 companies and law firms worldwide, recently announced the acquisition of TranZlations, Inc. (www.tranzlations.net). Headquartered in Montclair, NJ, TranZlations provides interpretation and translation services to leading law firms and corporations. Founded in 1999 with a focus on the legal industry, TranZlations has experience in a wide range of subject areas and also serves the financial, medical, advertising and travel industries.
The price of the deal wasn’t released.
“This is Morningside’s third acquisition in the past 18 months, after acquiring UK-based AC Translations, and Rochester-based Advanced Language Translation last year. It closely fits the model of companies we seek to acquire,” said Elizabeth Schilowitz, who assumed the Chief Investment Officer position as part of Morningside’s strategic acquisitions initiative, beginning at the end of 2014. The addition of TranZlations, Inc. will enable Morningside to expand its specialized interpretation capabilities, including onsite interpretation, over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) and sign language interpretation. TranZlations offers professionally qualified interpreters for meetings and court appearances, as well as simultaneous interpreters for large multilingual conferences and judicial proceedings.
“Morningside is excited to further strengthen its interpretation offerings,” said Morningside Translations’ CEO, Athena Papanicolaou. “TranZlations provides leading industry expertise which makes it an excellent addition to Morningside’s growing portfolio of specialized industry language solutions.”
Morningside Translations is headquartered in New York City with offices in San Francisco, Rochester, Hamburg, London and Jerusalem.
