The Price is Right Begins 45th Season

CBS’ The Price is Right, the network’s #1-rated daytime program and the longest-running game show in television history, celebrates its milestone 45th season, and Drew Carey began his 10th season today as host of the show.

Throughout premiere week, Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show The Price is Right celebrates 45 seasons by highlighting memorable moments from its rich history. Each day’s episode will feature clips of classic scenes, unforgettable games, record wins and the biggest bloopers. Also, Drew Carey begins hosting his 10th season, after taking over for Bob Barker in the fall of 2007. On Friday, Sept. 23, The Price is Right will debut its new game, “Hot Seat,” in which a contestant sitting in the “hot seat” is shown a series of fake prices for five small items and must guess whether the actual prices are higher or lower in an effort to win up to $20,000.

The Price is Right, which won the Daytime Emmy for outstanding game show in 2016, is produced by FremantleMedia North America. The Price is Right is broadcast weekdays (11:00 AM-12:00 PM, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.
