DICK’s Sporting Goods, the nation’s largest sporting goods chain, is opening its 40th store in New York State and 665th store nationwide on Friday, October 14 in Yorktown Heights, NY.
DICK’S three-day Grand Opening celebration will run through Sunday, October 16. The store will open at 8:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 9:00 a.m. Sunday. The store is located at 650 Lee Boulevard at Jefferson Valley Mall.
On Friday, the first 100 people in line will receive a free Adidas Go-To Performance T-Shirt.
Former New York relief pitcher John Wetteland will make an in-store appearance from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15. Wetteland won a World Series championship with the Yankees in 1995 as the team’s closer.

The new location will feature Nike and Under Armour shops, athletic and outdoor apparel and footwear and the latest gear for team sports, fitness, camping, hunting and fishing. More than 40 in-store services by DICK’S certified PROS in sports and outdoor specialties such as bike, golf and fishing will also be available.
