Topgolf, which operates a chain of outdoor golf ranges, is hiring 500 employees for its first location in New Jersey in Edison.
Approximately 500 new jobs have been posted online at the company’s career site topgolf.com/careers, and interviews begin in two weeks.
Available positions include: servers, bartenders, kitchen, maintenance, guest services staff and many more. Interested applicants should register to audition at an upcoming recruitment event.
The Edison location is set to open right before Christmas on December 23.
This will be the company’s first foray into the Northeast and it already plans to open a second NJ location in Mt. Laurel in late 2017.
The company says its recruitment events are unlike any typical job interview. They are interactive, high-energy and fun, with activities such as:
- Team-building challenges
- Idea Factory: Applicants get creative to plan a special event for Topgolf
- X-Factor-style panel interviews: Applicants speak or perform for 90 seconds about a topic of their choice
- One-on-one interviews
“We’re proud to become part of the Edison community. Edison is a vibrant, fast-growing area that has been nationally recognized as a best place to live,” said Topgolf Edison Director of Operations Justin Norvell. “It also offers a strategic central location, which will help us attract visitors from Staten Island, Princeton, Newark, New Brunswick and more.”
The Topgolf games can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels, and the microchipped golf balls score themselves, providing players with instant feedback on each shot’s accuracy and distance. Each venue features climate-controlled hitting bays for year-round play, a chef-driven food and beverage menu, music and hundreds of HDTVs.
Topgolf Edison is located at 1013 US Route 1. Hired associates for the new 65,000-square-foot venue will receive free Topgolf game play, food and beverage discounts, plus the opportunity to obtain medical, vision and dental insurance and participate in a 401(k) retirement savings program.
Topgolf has 29 locations and says it serves 13 million guests annually.
