Forbes Names Top Female Financial Advisors

NEW YORK – Forbes and SHOOK Research have compiled the first-ever list of America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors. The list features 200 women advisors from brokerage firms, including Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Wells Fargo and several independent firms who represent over $8 trillion in retail assets under management.

No. 1 on the list is Colleen O’Callaghan of Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management based in NY, whose total team Assets Under Management (AUM) was $2.3 billion.

Rounding out the top three are Saly Glassman of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management (No. 2) in Pennsyvlania and Rebecca Rothstein of Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group in Beverly Hills (No. 3.)

“Finance isn’t an easy place for women to succeed. The advisory space in particular has been male dominated with women making up just 16% of all financial advisors,” said Halah Touryalai, Deputy Editor, Investing at Forbes Media.  “The women on this list have defied the norms. They manage some of the most successful practices in the country, overseeing roughly $200 billion in client assets.”

Several of the women on the list, including Saly Gassman of Merrill Lynch, Elaine Meyers of JP Morgan, Dalal Salomon of Wells Fargo, Mary Deatherage of Morgan Stanley, Lori Van Dusen of LVW Advisors, Kimberley Hatchett of Morgan Stanley, Patti Brennan of Key Financial and Sheryl Stephens of SWMG Financial, will speak at the Forbes and SHOOK Research inaugural Top Advisor Summit, March 15 – 17 in Las Vegas. The topic of discussion for this event, an unprecedented gathering of America’s preeminent Wealth Advisors and industry leaders, will focus on the future of wealth management and best practices in an effort to drive the industry forward.
