Yankees Advance With Wildcard Win

The New York Yankees advanced to the American League Divisional Series with an 8-4 victory in the AL wildcard game over the Minnesota Twins last night at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

The Yankees trailed 3-0 after the first inning and All-Star pitcher Luis Severino couldn’t get out of the inning. A three-run homer by shortstop Didi Gregorius in the bottom of the first tied the game. Super rookie Aaron Judge added a two-run home run to help the Yankees win.

Up next, the Yankees will face the Central division winning Cleveland Indians in a best-of-5 series. The first two games will be in Cleveland and the next two will be played in NY. A fifth game, if necessary, will be hosted by the Indians.

Most of the games will air on Fox Sports 1 with game two on the MLB Network.
