The Wall Street Journal has named Emily Gitter as the new Editor of Weekend Business and Finance.
The announcement was made by WSJ Editor-In-Chief Gerard Baker.
Emily will lead the Journal’s efforts to create a new weekend business and finance section and reimagine the way the paper covers business and finance over the weekend, on both digital platforms and in print.
She has been editor for the past five years of the popular Mansion section in The Wall Street Journal covering luxury homes. This was a feature she helped launch. Before that, Emily was Deputy Editor of the Weekend Journal. She joined WSJ in 2005.
Emily is a graduate of Yale and lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Ryan Sager, and their four-year-old daughter.
