Three Retail Tenants Renew Leases at Front Street in Manhattan

NEW YORK – The Durst Organization announced renewals of three retail tenants at the iconic Historic Front Street in Lower Manhattan. SUteiShi, The Dermatology Specialists, and Il Brigante have each committed to another decade, fortifying their presence in this historically rich and vibrant community.

The Durst Organization’s Historic Front Street is an award-winning restoration project comprising 11 landmarked buildings and three modern buildings with 95 residential rental units and 14 street-level retail stores. Situated in the South Street Seaport Historic District, this revitalized city block between Beekman Street and Peck Slip has become a vibrant 24/7 downtown destination.

“Historic Front Street draws visitors from all over the world. We’re extremely pleased that these tenants will continue to benefit from the dynamic and thriving community of residents, tourists, and workers in Lower Manhattan,” said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization.

The Dermatology Specialists secured a 10-year renewal for 1,100 square feet at 220 Front Street. Nestled in the heart of South Street Seaport, the dermatology office offers a slightly nautical ambiance alongside cutting-edge technology and effective treatments from board-certified dermatologists.

“We are delighted to have renewed the lease of our flagship location at 220 Front Street amongst the cobbled streets and cafes of the South Street Seaport. This was The Dermatology Specialists’ first location in New York City back in 2007 and was the first to validate our mission of providing superlative dermatologic care to the neighborhood. Now, with nearly 50 sites across multiple states, our commitment to local communities around the North-East is stronger than ever,” said Dr. Bobby Buka, Co-founder of The Dermatology Specialists.

Il Brigante has committed to a 10-year renewal for 1,095 square feet at 214 Front Street. The southern Italian cuisine takes inspiration from the region of Calabria, offering a menu rich with traditional flavors and the freshest ingredients.

“Il Brigante Restaurant is delighted to continue the tradition we have created over the last 16 years of providing wholesome, high-quality food to locals and tourists alike in a warm and welcoming atmosphere,” said Tehela Nimroody, Owner of Il Brigante.

SUteiShi, a family-owned Japanese restaurant which first opened in 2005, has signed a 10-year renewal for 1,550 square feet at 24 Peck Slip. Known for its commitment to “dining fine,” SUteiShi tantalizes palates with the freshest quality sushi and tapas-style Japanese dishes.

“SUteiShi Japanese Restaurant is proud to continue serving our beloved Historic South Street Seaport neighborhood with a newly signed 10-year lease and to extend our relationship with The Durst Organization,” said Victor Chan, President of SUteiShi.
