Chick-Fil-A to Build 3 More NYC Stores

Fast food chain Chick-fil-A is continuing to expand into Manhattan.

The Atlanta-based company plans to open three new Manhattan locations at 918 8th Avenue (Midtown), 700 6th Avenue (Flatiron District) and 711 Lexington Avenue (Midtown East). The restaurants are expected to open in late 2018 and early 2019.

There are currently four Chick-Fil-A restaurants in Manhattan, known for their chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.

Since opening its first locally owned restaurant in Midtown Manhattan nearly three years ago at 37th St. and Sixth Avenue, the chain says it has employed more than 1,000 New Yorkers, donated nearly 20,000 pounds of food to New York’s homeless population, given thousands in college scholarships to New York students, and served millions of customers who have walked through its doors.

Founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy, Chick-fil-A has more than 2,200 restaurants in 47 states and Washington, D.C. The company is privately held.
