Bond, a New York-based delivery company using electric tricycles, has raised a $15 million round of funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners, MizMaa Ventures, and TLV Partners.
Formerly known as Shookit, Bond operates six nano-distribution centers in Manhattan and Brooklyn that (NDCs) help 30 direct-to-consumer brands and e-commerce ventures quickly deliver their products and more easily accept returns, resulting in increased retention and brand loyalty.
Bond integrates with major e-commerce platforms and helps businesses deliver goods purchased for as low as $10 per package.
Bond currently offers delivery only to Manhattan and Brooklyn but plans to serve all 5 NYC boroughs by the end of March. The company has partnered with third-party distribution centers to offer deliveries to locals in Queens and New Jersey.
The company has developed its own electric tricycles which are used for all deliveries in NYC.
