Two NY Trader Joe’s Closed Due to Coronavirus

Trader Joe’s, the popular supermarket chain, announced that two NY stores remain closed for cleaning after employees working there tested positive for Covid-19.

The locations are in Hewlett in Westchester County and Merrick on Long Island. The Trader Joe’s store in Paramus on busy Rt. 17 is also temporarily shuttered. The Merrick and Paramus stores are set to reopen Saturday, April 4.

Several Manhattan locations were closed last week due to employees sick with coronavirus but have since reopened.

The chain has been very open about stores being closed for the virus and have posted updates on its announcements page.

There are currently six Trader Joe’s supermarkets closed across the country. Here is the info below:

Crew Members have tested positive for COVID-19; the latest date on which a Crew Member with symptoms for COVID-19  was in the store is March 31, 2020.

Crew Members have tested positive for COVID-19; the latest date on which one of these Crew Members  was in the store is March 27, 2020.

A Crew Member reporting symptoms consistent with COVID-19 was last present in the store on April 1, 2020.

A Crew Member who tested positive for COVID-19 was last present in the store on March 30, 2020.
