LAKE PLACID — Choice Hotels and Matrix Hotels have officially opened Cambria Hotel Lake Placid, a new 185-room hotel. Lake Placid is 140 miles north of Albany and hosted the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games.
Guests at the Cambria can enjoy unobstructed views of Adirondack High Peaks and Lake Placid from their room or from a variety of charming outdoor gathering spaces. Cambria Hotel Lake Placid was designed and built with groups, events and family gatherings in mind. The modern hotel features 4,000 square feet of meeting space, 185 rooms with flexible configurations, an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor wedding venues. The Skylight Ballroom provides stunning views, full service catering, and a wide variety of flexible room layouts to suit groups of all kinds.
The full service hotel features a casual and upscale dining room plus grab-and-go options for the travelers on the move. The Haystack Bar & Bistro serves a menu of elevated American staples with a selection of local craft beers, and a unique selection of wines and craft cocktails.
