Almar Latour, CEO of Dow Jones and Publisher of The Wall Street Journal, announced that Artem Fishman is joining the company as Chief Technology Officer. Artem joins Dow Jones from LinkedIn, where he oversaw the company’s homepage and content experiences – core products that include LinkedIn’s feed, media experiences and tools for content creators.
As CTO, Artem will oversee the global team of engineers for Dow Jones responsible for the technology and product rollouts for all brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and its business intelligence products and services.
Artem is a veteran technology executive with a long track record of spearheading premier consumer products in the news, media and financial services industries. At LinkedIn, he oversaw the Content Experience organization, which is responsible for the entire home surface and all content types within it including posts, videos, images, articles, newsletters, polls and more. He also served as the Research & Development lead at LinkedIn in New York.
Previously Artem was Chief Technology Officer at SoundCloud in Berlin, where he was responsible for product monetization strategies and scaling the company into a robust two-sided marketplace.
Artem has also held senior leadership roles at Yahoo, Thomson Reuters and The New York Times. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from New York University.
Artem is also co-chair of the New York CTO Club, an independent, not-for-profit, group of senior technologists.
