Troopers Seize Half Kilo of Cocaine on Taconic Parkway

On January 11, 2024, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Brandon M. Green, age 31, of Pittsfield, MA, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree, a class A-I felony, and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2020 Toyota sedan for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill.  Investigation determined the operator, Brandon Green, was under the influence of drugs.  Further investigation revealed he was in possession of approximately a half of a kilogram of cocaine.

Green was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Romig of the town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
