Sullivan and Worcester Moves NY Law Offices

NEW YORK– The law firm Sullivan & Worcester is relocating its NY office from its current Midtown Manhattan location to 1251 Avenue of the Americas, a 54-story office tower on Sixth Avenue between 49th and 50th Street. With the move, Sullivan’s 52 NYC-based attorneys and 18 total staff will be well-situated for continued growth as the firm continues to execute on its expansion in NYC to serve clients in the U.S. and internationally.

“We’ve been actively adding outstanding, entrepreneurial talent to the New York City office for several years. Given our growth trajectory, we believe the office space and new location make strategic sense for the firm and for our clients,” said David Danovitch, managing partner of the New York office and co-director of the firm’s Corporate Department. “Sullivan’s Capital Markets group, in particular, is seeing a lot of activity from U.S. clients and those in Tel Aviv, Asia, and Europe. The New York City office has been a natural hub to serve those clients’ capital markets needs and, as they’ve grown, with additional services from our Litigation, Regulatory Compliance and Intellectual Property attorneys. The new office space has enhancements that will enable us to offer a state-of-the-art tech and work experience for our team and our clients.”

Added Danovitch, “New York has historically served as the firm’s gateway to the international markets. Our success in Israel through our Tel Aviv office is providing a blueprint for growth in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. A dynamic NY office is fueling that growth.”

Sullivan, which entered the New York City market in 1983, will occupy 41,900 square feet at 1251 AoA. The space will house 63 perimeter offices, nearly a dozen more than available at Sullivan’s prior location. In addition to technology upgrades, the building has enhanced air-quality and lighting systems and offices will be styled with ergonomic-friendly furnishings.

“We’re creating an office that’s appealing not only to our current team but also to others who are joining us,” Danovitch said. “We have great ambitions in terms of growth and are always looking for top-tier talent. With this move, we’ve entered a new phase in terms of our commitment to expand in the market and to broaden our offerings. The success we are having in New York is helping us define new opportunities, including Restructuring and Bankruptcy, Real Estate and Construction, and Tax and Employment.”
