CDPHP Opens New Wellness Way Health Facility

LATHAM Community Care Physicians PLLC (CCP) and CDPHP have officially opened the doors to their 263,000 square foot, state-of-the-art medical arts complex, aptly named Wellness Way. The new facility is also the new headquarters for CCP and CDPHP and is located in Latham, a suburb of Albany.

Wellness Way is a symbol of the next step in the integration of services between CCP and CDPHP. For patients, Wellness Way offers a seamless experience, allowing them to see their providers, have blood work or imaging done, fill prescriptions at ConnectRx pharmacy, and get answers to insurance questions or enroll in a health plan at CDPHP Customer Connect.

“6 Wellness Way is a unique place where two complementary systems, a large multispecialty practice and a reputable insurance company, cohabitate under one roof,” said Community Care Physicians Founder, Chairman, CEO Shirish Parikh, MD, MBA, FACR. “CCP continues to work on reducing the hassle factors for patients by deploying technology and bringing more state-of-the-art health care services to the community in the ambulatory setting.”

“Today, we celebrate more than the opening of a state-of-the-art medical facility; we recognize a bold vision that has come to life,” said CDPHP President and CEO John D. Bennett, MD. “Wellness Way showcases the power of an integrated delivery system, one where payer and provider work in lockstep to ensure patients are expertly cared for no matter the reason for their visit. I could not be prouder of our collective CDPHP and CCP teams and look forward to what’s ahead.”

Assemblymember John T. McDonald III, RPh said: “I am honored to be here today to celebrate the grand opening of Wellness Way. This state-of-the-art medical facility stands as a beacon of progress in health care, bringing together Community Care Physicians and CDPHP in a collaboration that highlights patient-centered care. Wellness Way not only offers unparalleled medical services and convenience but also embodies a commitment to innovation and community well-being. Congratulations to everyone involved in this monumental achievement!”

“We are living longer thanks to the fact that more of us are making health and wellness a priority by adopting better habits,” said Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. “This new facility and collaboration will promote that and allow for a positive patient experience.”

”The opening of the largest private health care facility in the Capital Region in Colonie underscores the prominent role our town serves as a great place to live, work and play,” said Colonie Town Supervisor Peter Crummey. “This facility helps bring the latest in health and wellness care to the doorsteps of our town residents.”

Wellness Way was designed explicitly with the patient experience in mind, with on-site cafés, more green space, electric car charging stations, heated sidewalks, several access points for patient drop-off, and greater opportunity for specialties to collaborate for patient care, regardless of insurance plan.
