Stewart’s Shops has opened its newest convenience store on Central Avenue in Colonie, a suburb of Albany.
This new location represents a $3.9 million investment to a property that had been vacant for five years and was formerly Grandma’s restaurant. Stewart’s now operates 39 shops throughout Albany County and over 350 stores in upstate NY and Vermont.
The new shop features a double turbo pizza oven, crocks of soup and chili, coolers stocked with Stewart’s award-winning milk and ice cream and a large beer cave.
Located just a few blocks from Wolf Road and the Interstate 87 Northway at 1273 Central Ave., the newest shop is conveniently situated along a popular commuter route in close proximity to several residential neighborhoods.
To celebrate the opening of the newest location in Colonie, Stewart’s will hold a grand opening on Friday, August 29th. There will be special deals on pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs and gasoline. Stewart’s also will be handing out free hot coffee and single-scoop ice cream cones at the grand opening event.
