Flying to Myrtle Beach will soon be a Breeze if you live in the Hudson Valley!
Breeze Airways is expanding service at New York Stewart International Airport (SWF), adding Myrtle Beach (MYR) in South Carolina as its latest new offering from the Hudson Valley. Just in time for Memorial Day weekend 2027, Breeze will offer new twice weekly service between SWF and South Carolina that will include the added benefit of continued service to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) without deplaning or rechecking baggage. Service begins May 28, 2027, with tickets available now on the Breeze Airways website. Stewart Airport is roughly 90 minutes north of Manhattan.
Flights will operate on Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with departures from SWF at 11:17 a.m. on Mondays and on Fridays. The new service to Myrtle Beach and Breeze’s “BreezeThru” service to FLL adds more flights and flexibility to some of New York Stewart’s most popular destinations.
The expanded service builds on Breeze Airways’ growing presence at New York Stewart, where the airline also operates year-round service to Charleston, S.C., (CHS), Orlando, Fla. (MCO), Raleigh-Durham, N.C. (RDU) with “BreezeThru” service to Tampa, Fla. (TPA), and seasonal service to other destinations.
“More flights at New York Stewart mean more flexibility and better fares for Hudson Valley travelers,” said Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole. “We are focused on working with airlines and local partners to highlight New York Stewart as an easy alternative to popular domestic destinations when traveling in the New York-New Jersey region.”
“We’re thrilled that Breeze is adding more options at New York Stewart for Hudson Valley travelers,” said Port Authority Executive Director Kathryn Garcia. “For travelers looking for quicker and direct connections, the design and size of the New York Stewart Airport terminal offers a simplified airport experience.”
“Every route we add to our network starts with the same question: where can Breeze’s direct service bring travelers a convenience they don’t already enjoy today?” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO. “This new route now brings Breeze’s high-value, low-cost service to more destinations, making affordable travel more convenient than ever.”
Neeleman is also the founder of JetBlue. The serial entrepreneur has founded a total of five airlines.
New York Stewart airport is accessible from New York City and New Jersey via public transportation. A free 20-minute Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Shuttle bus ride connects air travelers between the airport and the Beacon train station, where New York City-bound passengers can take Amtrak or Metro-North Railroad’s Hudson Line to Grand Central Terminal.
