Price Chopper — a chain based in Schenectady with locations in upstate NY, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont — is reducing opening times from 24 hours to 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. until further notice.
Walmart, the nation’s largest discount chain, said it will reduce hours at some locations open 24 hours to restock and clean stores. It did not provide a list of which stores will close early.
Publix, a southeast supermarket chain, is closing all stores early at 8 p.m. every night until further notice.
Shop-Rite, a chain based in New Jersey, has not announced reduction of hours but says requests for delivery are high and warning of longer delivery times.
