NY Times Hires Video Producer From Wall Street Journal
The NY Times has hired Jamie Leventhal as a video journalist on the Daily Video Team in New York, and will produce video packages and livestreams, and edit videos for social media.
Jamie comes to The NY Times from The Wall Street Journal, where she produced and edited videos covering a range of news topics, including business and technology. While at The Journal, she created and hosted a YouTube subchannel, which focused on engineering, supply chain and logistics.
Previously, Jamie worked as a video editor at Vice News, and as a digital video producer and science writer at “PBS NewsHour.” Her work has contributed to multiple award wins, including two Peabody awards. She’s originally from the Philly suburbs, and graduated from Northwestern University.
