Northwell Health is expanding its footprint in New York City with the acquisition of Vanguard Gastroenterology Clinic and Avant Medical Group, two highly respected medical practices offering comprehensive digestive health and primary care services. This integration further enhances Northwell’s extensive network of accessible, high-quality care, adding two key locations in the heart of Manhattan.
The practices, located at 233 Broadway, Suite 2750 and 36 East 31st Street, Suite 701, in Manhattan bring together a dedicated team of 11 physicians and 30 staff members offering clinical expertise in gastroenterology, internal medicine, preventive care and specialized treatment for chronic conditions.
Led by medical director Inessa Khaykis, MD, a renowned gastroenterologist who also serves as director of endoscopy at Northwell’s Lenox Health Greenwich Village, the team incorporates innovative techniques, cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes.
Vanguard Gastroenterology is known for its advanced procedures, including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, endoscopic ultrasound and fecal microbiota transplants, while Avant Medical Group is recognized for its holistic approach to health care, focusing on primary and preventive services, such as annual physicals, women’s wellness, fertility consultations and the management of both chronic and acute conditions.
