Northwell Health has opened a Women’s Specialty Care Center at 1948 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park on Long Island, expanding access to specialized care for women in the community. This state-of-the-art facility spans 7,062 square feet and represents an investment of just over $3.5 million.
“The expansion of our women’s health practice in Deer Park is an important step in ensuring that patients have the care they need, right in their own neighborhood,” said Joseph Baglio, senior vice president of Northwell’s Eastern Region Ambulatory Services. “This investment reflects our ongoing dedication to meeting the evolving health needs of women and fostering wellness across Long Island.”
The new center will serve as a vital health care resource for the Deer Park community and the surrounding South Shore area, offering a full spectrum of women’s health services, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, pelvic floor physical therapy, obstetrics, gynecology, and preventive care. The expansion further strengthens the connection to South Shore University Hospital, Northwell’s premier tertiary care center in Suffolk County, ensuring seamless coordination of care for patients who require advanced treatment.
“Women have access to world-class expertise, cutting-edge treatments and the highest level of care by clinicians who are members of the Katz Institute for Women’s Health,” said Stacey E. Rosen, MD, executive director of the Katz Institute for Women’s Health and senior vice president of women’s health at Northwell. “The Katz Institute for Women’s Health is improving the health of women at every age and stage, bridging the gap between wellness and personalized care delivery.”
