Whole Foods Opens Eighth Long Island Store

HOLBROOK, NY — Whole Foods Market has opened a new 43,000-square-foot store, located in the Shops at SunVet at 5801 Sunrise Hwy. Regular store hours are 8 a.m. – 9p.m. daily.

This is the eighth Whole Foods Market location on Long Island. The Holbrook store’s decor is inspired by Long Island culture with its unique blend of history, arts and coastal lifestyle. The location’s product assortment features more than 900 local items from the Northeast, sourced with the help of John Lawson, Forager for Local & Emerging Brands at Whole Foods Market.

To celebrate the opening, Whole Foods Market will provide a food donation to We All We Got, Inc.opens in a new tab, which makes regular surplus food pickups from local Whole Foods Market stores to help prevent food waste and serve the surrounding community. The nonprofit previously received a refrigerated van through Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need.
